I was born in Hibbing, Minnesota and grew up in the northern area of the state in Babbitt, Minnesota. Starting your life in a place of such beauty etches a deep appreciation of nature and wildlife into your soul. Having traveled extensively to different parts of the world I still have a connection and the satisfaction that comes with having the opportunity to be a part of such a place.

I now live in Brandon, Florida in the Tampa Bay area. I have been a resident of the state of Florida for the past 27 years, having lived in Miami for the first 8 years. This is now home. The state of Florida has a unique diversity that is unequaled by any other place I have been. It has an abundance of tropical beauty and areas of wilderness.

I am a self-taught artist with no formal training. I have been doing this for about 9 years and have tried a variety of mediums to work with. It is an outlet to express things the way I see them with the hopes that other people will get some joy out of what I do. Enjoying art goes beyond a good likeness of an object or brilliant colors with shapes and forms. We associate the art we see with certain things in our life that make us feel good. I try to reflect that certain personality in the wildlife, a scene of interest, or the natural beauty of the human figure.
